Graduate jobs

Your career, Australia's future

Applications for the 2024 program will open on 6 March 2023 and close on 17 April 2023.

As one of our graduates you will be offered a variety of hands-on experiences with formal development opportunities throughout the 12-month program. You will experience interesting and unique opportunities through various workplace rotations designed to build a diverse range of skills and knowledge to take your career to the next level with confidence.

In addition to our own graduate recruitment process, the Department also participates in the following Australian Government Graduate Program streams:

  • Data Stream
  • Digital Stream
  • Human Resource Stream
  • Indigenous Graduate Pathway
  • STEM Stream
  • Intelligence Stream

If you wish to be considered for a Home Affairs Graduate role through one of the streams above, you will need to apply to that stream directly.
Applying to one of these streams means you may be considered for a range of Australian Government Departments, Agencies and Commonwealth entities, participating in those streams.
