The Technology Operations & Support Branch (TOSB) is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Department's ICT infrastructure that underpins all Home Affairs applications. The Branch delivers the ICT Infrastructure Capital Plan projects, maintains the Department's data centres and server rooms and IT infrastructure platforms supporting the Departments networks across all classifications.

Our ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate is a self motivated, self starter who is well organised, professional, and able to manage conflicting priorities within a high paced working environment. You will work as part of a small team and proactively monitor work activities and take action as needed. You will have prior experience working in an ICT infrastructure organisation and experience providing support direct to the Assistant Secretary/Branch Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead complex administrative support activities
- Lead, plan and prioritise work, whilst adapting a flexible approach to changing business priorities, acting as the escalation point for matters of concern
- Manage high level executive support such as arranging travel, appointments and meetings
- Draft high quality, complex written material and documents using Microsoft Office software
- Initiate, build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with key stakeholders across internal and external networks.
Additional information
- Demonstrated experience using of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, MS Teams, OneNote, Word and Excel
- Strong organisation and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-paced environment
- Prior experience working in an ICT infrastructure environment\organisation.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
