Our ideal candidate

 

  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven experience in supervising, coaching, and mentoring a small team of system administrators, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in the system administration of Content Manager and related technologies, with the ability to manage IT application support, installations, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Strategic Oversight and Problem Solving: Strong strategic planning skills to lead complex investigations, resolve issues, and provide guidance on corrective actions, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, manage engagement plans, and effectively handle feedback and issues.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

Provide direction and support to TRIM team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. In addition to:

  • Strategic Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of installations, upgrades, and maintenance for TRIM and other record-keeping systems. Ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Manage the implementation of engagement plans, handle feedback, and resolve issues effectively
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments. Share relevant information and lessons learned to improve processes and outcomes

 

Additional information

 

Capabilities:

  • Proficiency in the system administration of Content Manager, processes, and technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain cooperative partnerships, liaising and consulting effectively across various work areas and with other key stakeholders
  • Ability to provide advice on ICT methodologies and processes to business stakeholders.

 

Skills:

  • Communicate (both written and verbal) confidently to persuade, influence, and present messages in a clear, concise, and articulate manner
  • Proficiency in undertaking targeted research and applying problem-solving strategies to respond to incidents and/or change requests quickly
  • Think strategically to initiate and direct strategies and work plans which support organisational objectives.

 

Highly Desirable:

  • Previous 5+ years of experience on supporting Content Manager (TRIM)
  • Previous 2+ years of experience in supporting applications on Windows Server Technologies
  • Previous experience in resolving complex application incidents and/or problems
  • Previous 2+ experience in managing a team.


Desirable:

  • Diploma of ICT or above/equivalent
  • Sound understanding of ICT applications and their integration/dependency with each other
  • Sound understanding of the upstream and downstream impacts that changes have on applications
  • Knowledge of SQL operations
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices
  • Monitor and address system health issues from application logs, IIS logs and/or event viewer logs
  • Previous understanding and experience working on medium to large scale ICT projects.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
     

In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
