About our team
Chief Operating Officer | Finance Division | Financial Operations | Financial Framework
The Financial Framework Section is located in the Financial Operations Branch and is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of key financial controls and financial materials, for strengthening financial literacy and capability across the department and for supporting and monitoring the department's compliance with the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework.
The section also manages the department's obligations as a taxpayer.

Duties and responsibilities
The role of the Finance Learning and Development Manager is to:

Maintain and review the Financial Learning and Development Strategy (the Strategy) to improve financial literacy across the department including the provision of strategic advice to the Executive and key stakeholders

Actively manage key stakeholder relationships across Finance Division and the wider department, in order to maintain expert knowledge, promote the Strategy and work in consultation with People Division

Develop and maintain a range of generalist and specialist financial learning and development activities, including the development of e-learning courses

Deliver activities across the department, via face-to-face and virtual classroom. This includes delivery to Executive level and Senior Executive level officials

Manage the financial learning and development team including establishing clear roles and responsibilities, providing coaching and mentoring to develop technical capability and building commitment to deliver shared outcomes.

The following experience and qualifications are required:

Excellent written and oral communication skills (including developing and delivering training material)

Demonstrated strong negotiation, liaison and representational skills

A high level of commitment to sharing corporate knowledge

Demonstrated high level leadership skills

Effective resource and time management skills
-
Qualifications related to the development and delivery of adult learning. For example a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
