GM Technology & Major Cap Group | ICT Division | Digital Delivery | Technical Web Services Section
The Digital Delivery Branch (DDB) is responsible for the oversight and governance of ICT programs that enable digital transformation within the Department. The Branch stewards and supports the Government's digital agenda, including enabling Digital Service Standards, and supports the Division to realise the ICT strategic agenda.
The DDB is the central engagement point for the Agile Capability Uplift Program. Services within the Branch also include development of mobile applications, support for the Department of Home Affairs online channels and support for Identity and Biometric Systems.
The Technical Web Services (TWS) Section provides development, enhancement and production support to all Department of Home Affairs online channels including internet, intranet, extranet, portals/apps and collaboration sites. The Section includes a user engagement and delivery function, development and testing in Microsoft technologies (SharePoint, .NET and Dynamics CRM), web administration, production and incident support as well as project support for web related projects.
TWS also provides business and technical system support for the Resolve Enterprise application.

Our ideal candidate
The Business As Usual (BAU) Support Officer will be responsible for supporting the BAU team with maintenance and support of SharePoint team sites and other applications that the Section manages and supports. The BAU Support Officer is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving basic SharePoint issues, system patching and health checks, and providing some user training and procedural BAU functions.
Duties and responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and resolving rudimentary technical SharePoint issues
- Providing SharePoint support and end-user training
- Create Change Management requests for deployment activities and monitor incident management queues through Connected Services
- Develop and improve existing training materials for SharePoint Online users
- Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions for SharePoint Online users
- Participate in developing IT solutions and strategies with other team members
- Create and maintain effective working relationships with technical and non-technical staff across ICT Division and the broader Department
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on administrative and operational matters as required
- Apply standard procedures to meet stakeholder requirements, offer assistance to solve stakeholder problems and seek assistance as appropriate
- Engage in research activities and develop documentation for operational BAU procedures as required
- Participate in on call rosters and duties.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
