GM Technology & Major Cap Group | ICT Division | Traveller Cargo & Trade Systems | Traveller System Platforms Section

 

The Traveller System Platforms (TSP) Section designs, develops and implements application solutions to enable travellers to safely cross Australian international Borders by leveraging industry supported technologies through well established strategic industry partnerships.

 

TSPS delivers high quality and accessible business services to our front-line workforce 'Australian Border Force' and cross Government agencies through industry supported secure data sharing technologies. TSPS is progressing fit for purpose, industry supported technology capabilities to Simplify and Rationalise the Traveller ICT landscape.

 

Partnering with industry experts and both Business and Enterprise Architecture, TSP are reducing technical risks to the Department's operational frontline services that secures the Australian Borders by delivering supported technology solutions aligned to Business and ICT Strategies. Specifically, new SmartGate Gen3 technology for passengers arriving into Australia by air.

Duties and responsibilities

 

 

  • Managing challenges and objectives with minimal supervision
  • Establish strong relationships with staff
  • Ensure business objectives and scope are well defined and understood
  • Support production of risk mitigation plans
  • Support stakeholders in adopting change.

 

 

Additional information

 

Desirable qualifications and or experience

  • bachelor or postgraduate degree in a relevant information technology field OR proven ICT Business Analyst experience
  • Knowledge of scripting tools (Pearl, SQL, Javascript, etc.)
  • Experience in Agile methodology
  • Workshop facilitation
  • Solution design
  • Demonstrated analytical background
  • Visual presentation skills (Visio, Figma, etc.)
  • AzureDevops.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
