The IT Computing Commercials (ITCC) section is responsible for IT procurement and commercial services, specifically in relation to the Department's strategic, critical cloud, software contracts and the ICT Contractor Procurement services.
This includes:
- Contract management for large/complex Cloud and Software contracts managed by SVMB on behalf of the Department (including undertaking all procurement contract variation or extension as required).
- ICT Contractor Procurement services under ICT Labour Hire arrangements.

- A highly skilled professional with expertise in technical and cloud computing platform procurement, capable of managing multi-cloud environments, enterprise service management, and cyber security considerations to drive cost-effective and secure procurement strategies

- Act consistently in accordance with integrity frameworks and behaviours including ethical decision making.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the procurement of cloud computing platforms and IT services including; Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware and Microsoft Azure, ensuring alignment with business needs and budget constraints
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts for cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise service management solutions
- Track vendor performance, service-level agreements (SLAs), and renewal cycles
- Ensure compliance with software asset management (SAM) policies and IT financial management principles
- Negotiate contracts for cloud computing platforms and IT services, ensuring compliance with security and financial policies.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
