About our team
Immigration Group
Immigration Group is responsible for administering Australia's Permanent and Temporary Migration Programs, people smuggling policy and implementation, and the Refugee and Humanitarian Program and Settlement Programs. The Group delivers status resolution in detention and the community and manages the Department's client facing services and information services. It also provides policy advice on national impacts of migration, citizenship, people mobility, and delivers citizenship, social cohesion and multicultural programs.

You must submit a one-page (approx. 500 words) Applicant Written Response document demonstrating how your skills, knowledge and experience align with what we are looking for in an ideal candidate for an APS6 role within Immigration Group. Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
