GM Technology & Major Cap Group | ICT Division | Digital Delivery | Technical Web Services

 

The Digital Delivery Branch (DDB) is responsible for the oversight and governance of ICT programs that enable digital transformation within the Department.

 

The branch stewards and supports the Governments digital agenda, including enabling Digital Service Standards, and supports the Division to realise the ICT strategic agenda.

 

The DDB is the central engagement point for the Agile Capability Uplift Program.

 

Services within the Branch also include:

  • Development of mobile applications, support for Home Affairs online channels and support for Identity and Biometric Systems
  • Working in close partnership across the Department, Commonwealth, state and territory agencies, industry, the broader community and with international partners to deliver identity and biometric capabilities.                                                                                                       

 

The Technical Web Services (TWS) Section provides development, enhancement and production support to all Department of Home Affairs online channels including internet, intranet, extranet, portals/apps and collaboration sites.

 

The Section includes a user engagement and delivery function, development and testing in Microsoft technologies (SharePoint, .NET and Dynamics CRM), web administration, production and incident support as well as project support for web related projects.

 

TWS also provides business and technical system support for the Resolve Enterprise application.

Our ideal candidate

 

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Apps Developer will be required to provide both technical and functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, provide technical solutions in accordance with best practices.

 

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Apps Developer will be responsible for contributing and assisting with workloads for CRM applications related BAU and ICT projects to meet business requirements.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

Defining technical solution design for Microsoft Dynamics 365:

  • Provide both technical and functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Design and develop modifications or extensions to the standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 and previous versions
  • Provide technical support to the development team and participate and undertake ICT project and BAU activities, sometimes with competing deadlines and priorities
  • Applications, unit testing, deployment and writing technical documentation
  • Support system and acceptance testing
  • Identify and access potential risks and delays; proactively seek ways to mitigate risks
  • Proactively solve business issues and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Work on day-to-day DevOps backlog items assigned by CRM Team lead as per deadlines, and
  • Provide advice and assistance to team members as required.

 

Additional information

 

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 development using C#, SQL, JavaScript, SSRS Reporting Tools,  XRM Tool, and HTML:

  • Knowledge and/or experience in developing Dynamics 365 custom workflows, plug-in creation, and creation of custom integration solution with third-party vendors
  • Knowledge and/or experience with cloud based solutions and Dynamics 365 Power applications within government ICT frameworks
  • Knowledge and/or experience with system integration and data migration
  • Good knowledge of Visual Studio, DevOps
  • Strong knowledge of relevant best practices, standards, and frameworks
  • Knowledge and/or experience with version control management using GIT
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate and negotiate across levels and technical backgrounds.

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
     

In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
