Strategy & Capability | Strategy Capability & Investment | Multiple sections
The Strategy, Capability and Investment (SCI) Branch is part of the Strategy & Policy Division within the Strategy and Capability Group. SCI's purpose is to drive centralised strategy, capability and investment development, manage performance reporting and business planning for the ABF. The Branch provides strategy and strategic analysis and advice, engaging with a broad network of stakeholders across the ABF and the Department of Home Affairs to help develop and deliver on the ABF's strategic, capability, investment and performance objectives. The branch consists of five sections:
• ABF Strategy
• ABF Capability Coordination
• Investment Support and Advice
• Investment Development and Evaluation
• ABF Corporate Performance Reporting.

Duties and responsibilities
• Under broad direction, support and assist to design, develop, implement and embed enterprise policies and procedures for the ABF relating to strategy and policy, capability planning, investment, evaluation and performance reporting
• Contribute to the delivery of the ABF's reform agenda in consultation with industry stakeholders and external partner agencies across Government
• Contribute to strategy and strategic policy developments, including providing specialised advice on highly complex and sensitive legislative and policy projects
• Manage program and projects, including facilitating input from a range of stakeholders, managing timeframes and delivering against project requirements and objectives
• Some roles may require the supervision of a staff member.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
