GM Technology & Major Cap Group | ICT Division | Architecture Design & Security | Architecture Program Delivery

 

The Architecture, Design & Security Branch is responsible for setting the strategic technical direction for the Department, enabling alignment between technology strategies and business needs. The branch works closely with the business to provide guidance and support to architecture design, delivery and sustainment decisions.

 

The Architecture Program Delivery (APD) section is part of the Architecture, Design & Security Branch. It works closely with internal and external stakeholders, to provide ICT architecture services and ongoing corporate functions support.

 

This includes:

  • Ongoing departmental strategic guidance

  • Architecture front door support

  • HR, budget and finance support

  • Architecture governance and secretariat support

  • Office administration support

  • Recruitment, procurement and contractual support, and

  • Vendor(s) and Client(s) relationship management.

 

 The APD section is responsible for business planning, coordination, communications and governance functions, supporting branch deliverables.

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Plan, lead, coordinate and provide secretariat services. This includes scheduling, agenda preparation, venue and travel bookings, minute-taking, distribution of meeting packs, organise meetings and record keeping to support effective ongoing committee operations

  • Draft complex correspondence, resolve contentious enquiries, and demonstrate understanding, critical analysis and reasoning skills

  • Develop processes and procedures in accordance with the departmental policy

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required to support the team operations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication, and strong stakeholder engagement skills

  • Experience in leading a processes, procedures and its continual improvements

  • Demonstrated problem solving or analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive stakeholder relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to perform advanced computer operations using Microsoft Office and others.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
     

In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
