The Specialist Procurement Branch (SPB) supports business in developing and delivering agreed capability over $50m by progressing the approach to market, tender evaluation, negotiations, contract signing and handover to business. SPB also provides governance support to enable effective oversight and coordination of its activities, engagement with internal and external bodies, and reporting.

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Undertake basic routine administrative support tasks under supervision, according to established and well-defined procedures, protocols and processes
  • Undertake filing and records management functions and ensure records are maintained in accordance with departmental policy
  • Provide straightforward support for procurement, basic contract and panel management activities.
  • Contribute to secretariat support activities.
  • Maintain productive working relationships across internal and external networks.

 

Additional information

 

A Certificate IV in Government (or similar) will be highly regarded.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
     

In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
