The Cyber Risk Services Branch is accountable for information security policies, capability and cyber security operations that ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Department's information.
The Cyber Engagement and Delivery Section within Cyber Risk Services Branch provides cyber security strategies, communication and awareness, education and training products and services to facilitate organisational and behavioural changes to enable a cyber secure environment through, tailored and repeatable cyber security awareness communication products to increase organisational understanding of cyber threats and vulnerabilities, design and delivery of bespoke cyber security education and training packages, providing advice and guidance on the development of strategic communications on cyber security, development of strategic plans to enhance and enable cyber security resilience, providing a client focused service delivery function that supports stakeholder relationships through governance and reporting

Our ideal candidate
- Has knowledge, experience and/or qualifications in Cyber Security
- Has knowledge, experience and qualifications in teaching (primary school, high school, technical college, or university level)
- Has experience in one or more of the following:
- Training analysis
- Training design
- Training development
- Training delivery, virtual and face to face
- Can coordinate projects in an administrative and technically complex environment.
- Adapt communication style to present messages in a clear, concise manner
- Has high level verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences
- Ability to train large groups of people
Duties and responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative and effective learning products and solutions including innovative training delivery methods e.g. augmented reality, podcasts, alternate delivery platforms, virtual classroom, etc.
- Manage and deliver complex in-house training packages in a variety of settings including classroom, workplace and online.
- Promote the continuous improvement of learning and development activities and training courses and the internal learning and development service model of the Department
- Deliver training products to industry standards.
- Foster team capability and improved standards through constructive feedback, coaching and mentoring.
Additional information
Tertiary and/or industry qualifications in any of the following domains Education, Communications, Marketing, Project Management, Cyber Security, or ICT will be highly regarded.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
