Regional Operations | South & West | Operations West | Maritime Operations

 

Operations WA is responsible for the effective facilitation of people and goods (travel and trade) across the international border in Western Australia (WA), while protecting government revenue and ensuring compliance with Australia's Customs and Immigration laws. Some locations may not have access to public transport options.

 

APS2 Administrative Support Officers are employed by the Australian Border Force (ABF) to assist non-operational and operational teams. Non-operational APS2 officers' duties may involve undertaking routine procedural, clerical, administrative support tasks. They are responsible for completing allocated tasks within required timeframes and producing work that is subject to close monitoring and checking by more senior staff. Operational

 

APS2 officers' duties may involve processing passengers through the international airport/seaports, directing passengers, administrative tasks and other general office duties. Operational roles require officers to wear the ABF uniform and represent the ABF professionally in the public domain. Officers must be capable of interacting with members of the community and foreign visitors.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
     

In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
