The HR Innovation and Governance section sits within the People, Planning, Engagement and Innovation Branch of People Division. HR Innovation is a co-design, collaboration and enabling area, using consulting methods and leveraging industry practices to drive business improvement initiatives across HR functions to meet current and future workforce challenges.

Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with People Division leadership and teams to drive and deliver end-to-end high quality strategic projects that not only meet client needs but also apply consulting methodologies to analyse current state business functions, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend innovate, industry informed solutions to complex challenges
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to policy, procedures and organisational challenges, facilitate co-design workshops and interviews, analyse data and deliver meaningful results
- Develop products such as current & future state mapping, user journeys, detailed briefs and recommendation reports and information product packs
- Manage and develop a small team, particularly in supporting expertise in consulting and strategic thinking
- Manage client relationships and skilfully engage with key stakeholders to influence outcomes.
Additional information
Highly desirable skills/capabilities:
- Demonstrated research and analysis skills to inform strategic environmental scanning and evidence-based decision making
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, business, research or related field, particularly where they support expertise in consulting, co-design, and strategic HR practices
- Communicate with excellence in both technical and non-technical audiences inside and outside the department, demonstrating a strong stakeholder relationship building ability.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
