The Branch is responsible for relationships with key industry bodies and government entities to deliver a measurable improvement in the security, resilience and response of Government to the modern day threat environment.
The CSP Branch leads policy development for the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Hosting Certification Framework (HCF) on behalf of the Minister for Home Affairs, continued development and implementation of the Systems of Government Security Regime, and the uplift of Commonwealth Government cyber security policy.
There are several vacant positions across the Branch. Successful candidates will work within a team to development and implement policy and programs designed to address some of the most pressing and emerging national security challenges.

- Understanding of, or ability to gain an understanding of, cyber security or protective security policy to assist in the delivery of new policy initiatives and frameworks across government
- The ability to work independently to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrated integrity and sound judgement when engaging with risk
Desirable attributes:
- Candidates with policy experience or tertiary qualifications in cyber security, protective security, international relations, intelligence or operational governance would be highly regarded.
