The Civil Maritime Project Management Unit (PMU) is an integral part of the Civil Maritime Acquisition Branch, responsible for the delivery of the Civil Maritime Capability projects from inception to transition into service.
Projects often include high risk, high value (HRHV) strategic procurement in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The projects are often time critical and may be subject to change with operational imperatives and Government priorities.

Our ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate would have:
- Experience in, or knowledge of, the civil maritime environment.
- The capacity to work in a complex, challenging and high tempo environment.
- The ability to juggle competing priorities.
- Relevant qualifications in procurement, contract management and/or project management.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist with coordinating and implementing program/project initiatives.
- Respond to stakeholder enquiries and requests, provide advice, and record information as appropriate.
- Contribute to tailoring communications to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships through day-to-day liaison with stakeholders.
- Contribute to developing and implementing change to improve program/project performance.
Additional information
- Relevant qualifications in procurement, contract management and/or project management will be highly regarded.
- An understanding of the Australian Civil Maritime environment would also be helpful.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
