About our team

 

Head Of National Security | Resilience & Protective Security | Protective Security 

 

Protective Security Branch (PSB) sits within the Protective Security Coordination Centre (PSCC) and provides strategic oversight and coordination across government for protective security advice and arrangements of Australian high office holders and at-risk parliamentarians and coordinates national security arrangements for declared Special Events. The PSB also enables supports to federal parliamentarians where multi-agency response is required.

 

The PSB provides an opportunity to gain strong skills across strategic stakeholder engagement, relationship management, teamwork, collaboration and problem solving. You will contribute to coordination and operational outcomes in support of protecting our people, parliamentarians, and institutions. Roles within the PSB perform a critical function to ensure federal parliamentarians are safe to perform their duties. Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

​The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.

 
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
