About our opportunity

 

This process is being used to fill multiple positions as they arise within the ICT divisions.
 

The Technology divisions are seeking talented people with a broad cross-section of skills, experience, and qualifications to register for permanent or temporary S26 transfers to the Department of Home Affairs. All applications on this register will remain active until the register closes on 30 June 2026, or until a candidate notifies us that you are no longer actively seeking employment. Please note you must be an ongoing Australian Public Service employee at the relevant classification to be eligible for opportunities as part of this register.

These divisions are predominantly located in Canberra; ACT however does have a smaller footprint in other capital cities.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
     

In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
