Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate preventative maintenance activities and manage facilities work orders to ensure assets and infrastructure remain safe, functional and compliant.
  • Monitor and support building compliance programs, ensuring facilities meet government, environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Oversee contractor performance and identify, report and resolve property and service delivery issues under the Whole of Australian Government Property Services Contract.
  • Manage minor asset replacement activities and contribute to asset management planning and lifecycle oversight.
  • Support property accommodation and facilities projects, including space planning, site decommissioning, data management and the delivery of national and regional initiatives.
  • Present information in a clear and effective manner through oral and written communication.
  • Escorting of uncleared contractors.

Additional information

 

  • Previous experience or qualifications in Facilities/Asset Management, property services, or a relevant Trades background is preferred.
  • Due to the dynamic and challenging nature of the work, personal resilience, flexibility and adaptability, whilst assessing and managing any potential risks are key requirements for all officers.
  • Willingness to travel to and work from alternate sites.
  • Ability to learn and use relevant computer software.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.

 
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
