Chief Operating Officer | People Division | Payroll & Conditions | Workplace Relations
The Workplace Relations Section manages and provides advice on the Enterprise Agreement, HR delegations and policy advice on matters relating to overseas conditions of service, employment conditions and industrial relations. The section also provides secretariat support to the National Staff Consultative Forum.

Duties and responsibilities
- Provide expert and strategic advice on complex employment conditions matters, particularly as they relate to the Fair Work Act 2009 (FW Act) and the Department of Home Affairs Enterprise Agreement (EA) and associated legislation
- Assist in the development of policy, strategy, communications and proposals on employment conditions matters
- Provide expert policy advice and other workplace issues in accordance with the EA
- Assist with the preparation of a range of written material including communications, briefs, corporate documentation, and HR policy advice
- Assist other areas of the section as required.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
