About our team

Strategy & Capability

The ITEC Commissioner is an independent statutory role, working to unite all levels of government to combat the threat of illicit tobacco and e-cigarettes. In supporting the Commissioner, we work closely with law enforcement, regulators and policy makers across the Commonwealth and states and territories to shape a more coordinated and effective national response to serious and organised crime activity in illicit markets. Our work spans collaboration and engagement, strategic policy analysis and advice, and data consolidation and national reporting, including the production of an annual report to Parliament. The Office plays a critical leadership and influence role to help shape national direction and collective impact. We are a small, agile and high-performing team with a strong sense of purpose and commitment to public value. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team working to make a tangible difference on a nationally significant issue.
