Strategy & Capability | ABF Workforce | ABF College | Marine, Maritime & Littoral Faculty

 

The Marine, Maritime & Littoral Faculty delivers an integrated curriculum of specialist vocational training to enable frontline officers deployed to the maritime domain to undertake their roles.

The Faculty has three delivery streams, Marine, Maritime and Littoral Vessel, each headed up by a Chief Instructor, and a Training Coordination Unit led by an Inspector.

  • Set priorities and manage workflows.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across operations, policy and governance roles
  • Project manage the delivery and coordination of training programs and events
  • Manage logistics for training programs including travel, training resources and equipment hire
  • Provide detailed reports and conduct reviews of high level projects in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Undertake engagement initiatives with international stakeholders
  • Lead curriculum evaluations
  • Oversee the delivery of training programs
  • Undertake business support activities for team and other teams, identifying risks and determine appropriate courses of action to meet stakeholder needs
  • Undertake procurement, governance and other duties as required
  • Management and direct supervision of Marine Cadets.

 

Additional information

 

Mandatory

  • Meet medical, fitness, aptitude and psychometric requirements relevant to the role.
  • Ability to travel.

 

Desirable 

  • High level coordination and/or project management experience
  • Administration and program delivery experience 
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to prepare project briefs and conduct face-to-face briefs and debriefs
  • Current driver's licence
  • Certificate IV Training & Assessment.

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

 

​The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
 

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.

 
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
