GM Technology & Major Cap Group | ICT Division | Risk, Data & Insight Systems | Threat Risk & Intervention Systems
The key objective of the Threat, Risk Intervention Systems section is to work with key stakeholders to facilitate the establishment of an intelligence led; risk based layered capability to enable border risk assessments to support the identification of persons and goods that require intervention while facilitating legitimate trade and travel. The programme will enable earlier and better informed responses to all border threats. A secondary objective is to work with stakeholders across the portfolio on the consolidation of risk tools, with an initial focus on rules engines.

Our ideal candidate
- The ideal candidate will have the skills for extending and sustaining the integration and maintenance of various Analytical models and supporting the infrastructure.
- The candidate will have a good understanding of Analytics application integration, Analytics modelling techniques, Systems analysis, Solution design, Solution development and an in-depth understanding of business usage patterns for the capability.
- The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and have the appropriate skills to build productive stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes.
- The candidate should have the ability to work in an agile team environment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the end to end integration of developed analytics models and validating them against test data.
- Actively resolve problems, identify solutions, plan schedules, deliver outcomes within set timeframes and support the capability.
- Delivery of project milestones and work with the team to create standard operating procedures (SOPs) to govern the delivery of Advanced Analytics Capability (AAC).
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
- Build effective communication networks with a wide range of stakeholders, and work collaboratively with multiple teams and business areas; and have the personal attributes to work in a team environment comprising of technical and Business As Usual (BAU) support members.

The candidate is to demonstrate experience in/with two or more of the following tools:
- Microsoft Machine Learning Server (MMLS)
- Alteryx Designer and Server
- Python
- Microsoft SQL Server
- R Programming language
- SQL, Teradata EDW
- Window Server
- Powershell
- Data Modelling
Our ideal candidate will have 2 + years experience in designing, implementing, model integrations and troubleshooting systems.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:
- ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
- Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
In certain circumstances, an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC) may be required in addition to, or in lieu of, an Onboarding Check, which will be determined by the delegate as necessary.
